The High molecular weight polyisobutylene (HMPIB) is a specialized polymer known for its high viscosity, tackiness, and durability. Produced from isobutylene monomers through cationic polymerization, HMPIB is widely used in adhesives, sealants, lubricants, and protective coatings.
