The Wreck of the Pallas is one of the more iconic and risk‑rewarding locations in

Cheap Dune Awakening Solari. It offers valuable loot, quest progression, and a chance to test your nerves in a PvP environment. But the wreck is not just a loot cave — it’s also full of environmental hazards, vertical traversal challenges, and potential ambushes. This first installment will walk you through how to approach the Wreck of the Pallas, what to watch out for, and how to make your initial entry safely.

Location & Getting There

The Wreck of the Pallas is located in the northern part of the Western Vermillius Gap, east of Imperial Testing Station No. 13.  Because this is a shipwreck in open terrain, you’ll want to scout your route carefully. The overhead map route may show multiple approach vectors, but a northwest hull breach is often considered optimal. 

Because the region uses the Right of Salvage rule, PvP is enabled inside the wreck. That means while you're looting, you're vulnerable to enemy players. 

Also, radiation zones are present inside parts of the wreck. The radiation is not always immediately lethal, but standing idly in a radiation zone can cause death over time. Be mindful of your exposure time.

Tip: Park your sandbike a safe distance from the hull breach or in partial cover. You don’t want to risk it being destroyed, and you’ll want to leave it behind in case of a worm or other event. 

Entry Strategy: Northwest Breach Approach

From community reports and walkthroughs, many players prefer entering via the northwest side of the hull, where there is a breach.  Upon entry, you’ll find a hallway to your right, partially blocked by vats or other wreckage. That hallway often leads to a door that can be cut open using the Cutteray tool. 

Inside you’ll often find material containers (green crates) with green material components. These are useful for crafting. 

From there, move deeper into the wreck’s midriff, where you may find a storage room with crates and more loot. But first, clear any hostiles in the area to reduce risks. 

One key note: near the center, there is an incline or walkway that leads upward toward the location of the Green ID Band (i.e. the Pallas Wreck key). 

Hazard Awareness & Survival Tips

• Radiation: Monitor your radiation meter (often via the “T” key or your status panel). Don’t linger in radiation zones.

• PvP threats: Because the wreck is open to PvP, stay alert to other players. It’s wise to scout or wait for low-traffic times.

• Vertical traversal: Some parts require climbing, jumping across rafters or crates, and careful platforming to reach sealed doors. 

• Tool readiness: Make sure your Cutteray is handy. You’ll need it frequently to cut sealed doors.

• Clear hostiles early: Before pushing deeper, clear out enemies in nearby rooms to avoid backstabs.

• Loot efficiently: Grab green crates and loot containers on the way; backtracking is risky.

• Exit planning: Note your exit route before venturing far. Some doors will require the ID Band for exit. 

What to Expect Just Inside

After cutting through the first sealed door in the hallway, you'll often find two blue material containers inside a small niche. Then, return to the central area where the crates are located. Another green container may be tucked between crates. 

From here, head eastward through a passage leading to a collapsed metal walkway. Along that walkway is another door you can cut open. Inside are two more green crates and a larger equipment chest. 

Shortly beyond is another sealed door (red light) behind which lies your Green ID Band key — but to reach it you may have to traverse a walkway from the opposite direction. 

Summary

Approaching the Wreck of the Pallas is as much about strategy as combat. If you enter carefully, clear dangers systematically, and keep your tools and map sense sharp, you'll survive long enough to find the key and reach deeper chambers.
