“Lost Within” is a contract (quest) introduced in the Lost Harvest DLC for Cheap Dune Awakening Solari, given by Chief Hanso. It follows on from the “Search and Retrieval” contract, which tasks you with collecting Kirab Tags. In Lost Within, your mission is more personal: you must enter a derelict ship via the Mithra Roof Hatch and locate three survivors inside. 

This quest introduces tighter interiors (ship interiors), locked/hidden pathways, survival tension, and some environmental puzzles. Completing it yields experience and furthers your standing with the Landsraad, so it’s well worth your time. 

Objectives for Lost Within

Here are the key steps you’ll need to complete:

1. Locate the Mithra Roof Hatch on the ship.

2. Enter the instance through the hatch.

3. Find Survivor #1 (Green ID Band). Speak with him.

4. Find Survivor #2 (Yellow/Green ID Band), located behind a locked door above a walkway.

5. Find Survivor #3 behind a locked yellow door, in a room at the back of the main chamber.

6. Collect the ID Bands, speak to survivors.

7. Exit or complete any wrap‑up dialogue. 

Starting Out: Reaching the Mithra Roof Hatch

• Where to Go: The quest marker guides you to the ship. Listen to Chief Hanso’s instructions. The marker should lead you to the top deck, where the Mithra Roof Hatch is located. It will appear visually as a hatch with a glowing green circle. When you approach it, you can interact to open it and enter the instance. 

• Preparation Tips:

  • Bring weapons suited for close quarters since you’ll likely encounter enemies in tight corridors.

  • Make sure you have consumables (healing items, ID bands if required etc.), and enough hydration/water resources, especially since environmental hazards may be present.

  • If you have traversal tools (gliders, anything that helps with vertical movement), those may help in navigating the ship’s decks and hidden levels.

First Survivor – Green ID Band

After entering, follow the contract marker toward the main room. The first survivor is fairly straightforward: he is lying next to a crate in the opposite end of that room. You’ll find a Green ID Band nearby. Interact and speak to the survivor. This is the simplest of the three survivors to locate. 

The Bug to Watch Out For & Work‑Arounds

Some players have reported that the second (and even third) survivor do not appear behind locked doors as expected. If you do not see the second survivor:

• Exit the instance completely.

• Travel away (for example into Hagga Basin) for a short period (10–15 seconds is enough).

• Return and reenter the ship. The locked doors should have reset. The survivor should now be visible behind the locked yellow/green door. 

This is crucial: it seems to be a sync/instance reset issue rather than missing content. So don't assume you’ve failed or the quest is bugged beyond recovery until you try this. Do the same if the third survivor doesn’t appear. 

Why the ID Bands Matter

Each survivor has their own ID Band (Green, maybe Yellow/Green) that you need to collect. They serve both as proof of rescue and as quest items to progress the contract. They also tie into the recognition from Chief Hanso and your reputation. If you don’t pick them up, steps won’t advance. So make sure you examine the ground carefully near crates and behind locked/walled areas. Locked doors are colored (Yellow, Green) depending on the band color required. 

First Steps Summary & Thoughts

To sum up:

• Locate the ship and the Mithra Roof Hatch.

• Enter and get the Green ID Band & survivor #1.

• If survivors are not visible, perform the reset by leaving the instance and returning.

• Be careful to traverse locked doors, upper walkways. Keep track of the door color and ID Band color to avoid confusion.

Once you get past locating the second and third survivors, the rest is usually straightforward — dialogue, returning items, etc. In my Dune Awakening Solari for Sale experience, the main challenge is simply finding them due to hidden areas or bugs.
