Its listed rolls are 20-30 Spirit, 80-120% increased Armour and Energy Shield, 20-30 Strength, 20-30 Intelligence, 17-23% Chaos Resistance, and 10-20% Life Recoup. The flavour text is still the same: "The Twilight Order rejected the gods, choosing instead to put their faith in each other." Nice line, but the item is picked for the mechanics, not the poetry.

Why the recoup line is the real hook

The unique mod says Damage taken Recouped as Life is also Recouped as Energy Shield. That word "also" is doing a lot of work. It means you don't lose the Life Recoup; you gain matching Energy Shield recovery on top of it. So a 20% roll is a big deal. You're getting the strongest listed Life Recoup value on the item, and Sacrosanctum then mirrors that recovery into Energy Shield. A 10% roll still works, of course, but it's only half the item-specific recoup of a perfect one. If you're buying one, this is the first number I'd check before getting distracted by attributes.

Build fit and common traps

Sacrosanctum naturally suits Strength and Intelligence characters that want a mixed Armour and Energy Shield defence layer. The Chaos Resistance helps too, especially while gearing is still messy. The Spirit roll can be useful for persistent effects, though the available item data doesn't tie it to any one skill setup. There are also a few claims floating around about Demon Form, Eldritch Battery, or uncapped recoup tricks. Be careful there. Current written sources don't confirm those interactions. The armour is strong enough without pretending it does things that haven't been properly shown.

What to look for on trade

If you're comparing copies, start with the 10-20% recoup roll, then look at Spirit, the Armour and Energy Shield percentage, and Chaos Resistance. A perfect one would show 30 Spirit, 120% increased Armour and Energy Shield, 30 Strength, 30 Intelligence, 23% Chaos Resistance, and 20% recoup. A weaker one can still be playable, especially if your other gear covers attributes and resistances.
