A Beginner’s Guide to Finding Canifis in OSRS gold

Canifis, a mysterious village nestled in the dark province of Morytania, is a key location in Old School RuneScape (OSRS) for members. Populated by werewolves and ruled by Lord Drakan, it offers access to quests, slayer tasks, unique shops, and mini-games like Temple Trekking. Before you can explore its cobblestone streets and surrounding swamps, however, you must first unlock and reach the OSRS gold village. This guide breaks down all methods to get to Canifis, from basic foot travel to fast teleports, suitable for players of all levels.

Prerequisite: Unlock Canifis with "Priest in Peril"

First and foremost, Canifis is only accessible to OSRS members, and you must complete the Priest in Peril quest to unlock it. This quest is relatively short and has no skill requirements, making it accessible to new members.

During the quest, you will help a priest named Drezel break a holy barrier in the basement of the Paterdomus Temple, located east of Varrock. Once you defeat the ghoul guarding the barrier and free Drezel, the barrier is lifted, granting you permanent access to Morytania-and thus Canifis. Without completing this quest, you cannot enter the region, so this is your first step.

Method 1: Foot Travel (Best for Low-Level Players)

For players who have just completed Priest in Peril and have no teleport methods unlocked, foot travel is the most straightforward option. It requires no skill levels or special items, just patience.

Start in Varrock, the closest major city to Morytania. Head east from Varrock's east gate, following the path that leads to the Paterdomus Temple. Once you reach the temple, enter the basement (where you completed the quest) and pass through the now-open barrier into Morytania.

From the barrier, continue east along the path. You will pass through a small swampy area before reaching Canifis. The journey takes about 5-7 minutes on foot, and you may encounter low-level monsters like ghouls and crawling hands along the way-these are easy to defeat or avoid for most players.

Method 2: Ancient Magicks Teleport (Fastest for High-Magic Players)

Once you have a Magic level of 66 and access to the Ancient Magicks spellbook, the Kharyrll Teleport is the fastest way to reach Canifis. This spell teleports you directly to the center of the village, saving you valuable time.

To unlock the Ancient Magicks, you must complete the Desert Treasure quest. This quest has higher requirements (e.g., 50 Agility, 50 Thieving, and completion of several other quests), but the reward is well worth it for frequent Canifis visitors.

Once unlocked, open your spellbook, switch to Ancient Magicks, and cast Kharyrll Teleport. The spell costs 2 law runes and 2 blood runes per cast, which is affordable for most players. This method is ideal for slayers, questers, or anyone who needs to visit Canifis regularly.

Method 3: Fairy Ring (Flexible and Convenient)

Fairy rings are a popular transportation method in OSRS, and they offer easy access to Canifis with the right code. To use fairy rings, you must first complete the Fairytale II - Cure a Queen quest, which unlocks the ability to use all fairy ring codes.

The fairy ring code for Canifis is CKS. To use it, find any fairy ring (e.g., the one south of Varrock, near the Grand Exchange) and enter the code CKS. This will teleport you to a fairy ring located just west of Canifis.

From the fairy ring, simply walk east for a few steps, and you will reach the village. This method is free (no runes required) and flexible-you can use it from anywhere with a fairy ring, making it great for players who are exploring other parts of Gielinor.

Method 4: Slayer Ring (Ideal for Slayers)

If you are a slayer, the Slayer Ring is another convenient way to reach Canifis. The Slayer Tower, which is located northwest of Canifis, is a common slayer task location, and the Slayer Ring can teleport you directly there.

To get a Slayer Ring, you must complete theSmoking Kills quest and have a Slayer level of at least 75. Once you have the ring, charge it with slayer points, and use the "Slayer Tower" teleport option. This will take you to the base of the Slayer Tower.

From the Slayer Tower, walk southeast for a short distance, and you will arrive in Canifis. This method is perfect for slayers who need to complete tasks in the Slayer Tower and then visit the RuneScape gold for sale village for supplies or quests.
