The group 117 tried to reach an agreement in negotiations with developers. As per the author they requested that they could negotiate that the Runelite HD mod could go live as long as Jagex was done with its own visual enhancement to the game. For 117. however. The studio turned down the request. Although it appears that the Runelite HD mod appears to conform to the company's guidelines on mods, the developer has stated that it will alter the rules within the next week in order to reflect the company's decision to end developing third-party mods for visuals.
